Quad tour + picnic:
The sense of a team event is mostly for employees who do not know each other so well to get to know each other while tackling a task together and to grow together as a team (team building). At first glance, that speaks against a quad tour, because basically everyone sits alone on their quad, and that is not so good for communication. But since there has to be something to eat at some point anyway, it can be an idea to interrupt the quad tour somewhere with a nice picnic. Whereby a picnic does not mean that the guests look for a shady place under a tree (and then maybe get a visit from the ant colony there) with a sandwich (which may have been soaked from lying long), but rather something that is visible from afar , with comfortable furniture, the marquee is ready for the group. Everyone can sit down sensibly, choose food from the cold buffet (or from the grill) as well as a cool drink. More about this in our section MARQUEE + CATERING AT THE TEAM EVENT. There, while eating, everyone can talk about the adventures they have had while driving a quad. And when this picnic takes place on the beautiful sandy beach of a lake nearby, you could also enjoy a round of BUBBLE SOCCER or something similar.
Quad tour + bunker:
However, if team building is to go beyond a meal together, we can include one of our activity modules above. The easiest way is to stop at an old Soviet bunker, to pass over a ruined bridge or to build a small bridge. In contrast to the other activity modules, these 3 team building activities only hold the group up for about 30 minutes each. The Schwerin-Parchim airfield is located very close to Lübz. And to protect this airfield, various defensive positions were built around it until 1989. These bunkers are all abandoned today, but (more or less) freely accessible. And the access options are just as different as the bunkers themselves. In some you can walk into the main entrance, in others you have to lower down on a rope through the ventilation. It is in the nature of things that it is pitch dark inside such a bunker. When everyone as a team has gained access to such a bunker and a small drink is waiting inside, it will definitely be a team event that will be remembered for a long time.

A particularly beautiful bunker is also part of our LÜBZER TRIATHLON, in which you first ride a piece of bike, then go on a hike in the form of a paper chase (which leads through the bunker, among other things), and finally return to the starting point by canoe.
Quad tour + bridge construction:
Alternatively, the quad tour can lead to a large ditch that is so deep that you cannot simply drive your quad through it. So what to do ?  After the group had puzzled for a while, they happened to find tree trunks nearby (we left them there). These logs are then placed over the ditch and one by one can then negotiate the ditch. Bridge building as team building, so to speak. You can also see exactly how this works in our VIDEO.
During the GDR era, short distances were obviously important in order to get to the right field with poorly motorized equipment. All possible bridges originate from this time, which are no longer used today and which were built from what was available at the time, apparently without static calculations. In some places there are even old armored bridges left forgotten in the forest. Since these bridges are no longer able to cope with today's demands, they are not maintained either, but slowly deteriorate. Then 1 - 10 planks are missing, they are crooked or sag. And the Quad tour could lead your team to such a bridge. Then everyone has to think together how the problem can be mastered, e.g. whether it is enough to rearrange some of the planks that are still available, or whether any aids have to be brought in.
Quad tour + raft or cable car:
The other two proposed team building modules are significantly more difficult and require a significantly greater amount of time. Both for the cable car and for building rafts, the intended location must meet various requirements. The bank must be accessible from both sides with quads, when building a raft, both banks must be shallow but not muddy, for the cable car large trees are required on both sides.
For the raft building there is only one possible place here in the vicinity; a passenger ferry across the Müritz-Elde waterway used to do its job there. But that also means that every now and then a ship wants to pass, for which the pulling ropes have to be hauled in. Until the raft has been put together and maybe 10 quads have been transferred piece by piece, repeatedly interrupted by ship traffic, the day is over. Quad driving + raft building is only possible for a full-day activity. You can find out more about our raft kit under our RAFT section, or watch our VIDEO.
Transporting the quads is even more difficult with the help of a self-built cable car. A tree of sufficient size (resilient) must be found on both banks at an acceptable distance from the bank. The rope hook is then stretched between these two trees. After all, each quad has to be individually attached to the cable car and pulled across the river. It already has a survival character and is clearly a team event for advanced players. You can also watch a VIDEO of this.
